When is the best time to come? What are the surf seasons?
There are essentially two surf seasons in Hainan - the fall and winter season, which brings Northeast swells, and the summer season, which brings south swells. The fall and winter season, from November until April, offers the best surf, with consistent northeast swells hitting Hainan's east coast. Riyue Bay, which faces southeast, gets clean swell to wrap in, and has offshore winds. The south swells of summer, from May until September, bring also bring surf to Riyue Bay. Summer is not as consistent or as big as in the winter season. In addition to these two seasons, Hainan gets surf from an average of four or five typhoon swells. Typhoon season in the South China Sea lasts from May until November.

How long does it take to learn how to surf?
95% of our customers are riding waves on the first day. Of course, this is only one part of surfing. Like a lot of other sports, surfing is a complex sport that can take many years to a lifetime to master. But surfing is extremely fun, even on the first day.
What are the breaks like?
Riyue Bay features three left handpoint breaks and a variety of beach breaks all within a four kilometer stretch of beach. With the great variety of breaks and its ability to pick iup both northeast swells of fall and winter, and south swells of summer, it is by far the best surf spot in all of China.
What is the weather like?
Summer can be very hot and humid. Temperatures from July to September average about 35℃/95℉ to 38℃/100℉. The ocean breeze helps out a bit. The south of the island tends to have better weather than the north. Fall and spring are the most comfortable. Winter can get down to around 15℃/60℉, feeling even colder if it is windy. Full wetsuits are needed in the winter.
Where should I stay?
The most convenient option for surfing in Riyue Bay is the 21st Century Hotel. Located across the road from the beach, and a short walk from Surfing Hainan's shop. Please inquire about booking through Surfing Hainan for a special rate. Room rates vary depending on the season.
The best five star option is Le Meridien Shimei Bay, which is eight kilometers north of Riyue Bay.

什么时候来三亚最好？什么是冲浪教学？
大致上海南三亚一共有两个季节适合冲浪：冬季，来自东北方向的浪；夏季，来自南边的浪。冬季（通常11月到4月）的浪比较好，其中11月到1月的最好！这段时间所有的浪都会出现在海南岛东面的海岸线。夏季（5月到9月）来自南边的浪则会出现在海南岛的南面的三亚，也就是说我们可以直接在门前的大东海冲浪，相比较而言，夏季的浪不如冬季的好。另外全年平均有4到5次台风可以带来不错的浪。中国南海的台风季节一般在5月到11月。
这儿天气怎么样？
夏季湿热，7月到9月的平均气温为35℃/95℉到38℃/100℉，但晚上的海风会让你凉快一些。海南岛南边的气温比北边的气温好。三亚基本一直都是晴天，即使有时候海口那边是阴天。三亚的春秋季比较舒服，冬天最低可能就到15℃/60℉左右，阴天的时候感觉更冷，所以冬天冲浪需要穿着包裹全身的冲浪衣物。
怎么来三亚？
飞机，火车和大巴都可以。乘出租车从三亚机场到大东海沙滩大概30分钟，45元左右。到达三亚的国内和国际航班都很多！
从广州开往三亚的大巴需要12个小时，200元左右。海口和三亚之间的大巴平均每20分钟一趟，豪华大巴的票价为77元一张，全程3个半小时。
每天都有从北京，上海和广东到三亚的火车，火车在到广东的时候被分节装上船然后过海到达海南岛。
来三亚玩什么？
除了冲浪，这儿还有很多可以玩的。森林，温泉，游艇，潜水等等。三亚也有不少酒吧和餐厅，当然夜生活也很丰富。三亚也有一些不错的西餐厅，像海豚吧，马可波罗餐厅。另外大东海沙滩边上也有一整条的餐厅，餐厅有价格不菲的海鲜和不错的海景。
住哪儿？
三亚向来不缺住的地方，从青年旅社到五星级的酒店。大致上有三片区域：大东海，亚龙湾和三亚湾。大东海，冲浪海南所在地，这里的住房价格比较合理，同时周围有不少中西餐厅，酒吧，超市和银行。接着亚龙湾地处于三亚的郊区，环境好，同时也是大部分五星级酒店的聚集地，过个周末是没问题，但其他方面就不是很方便了。最后三亚湾位于三亚市区很长的一条海岸线，那里离市区近，有很多的酒店和海鲜大排挡。整个三亚，冬季的所有消费都会有不同幅度的增长，特别是春节期间！
